Project title: Perfect Air and Sensetio
Interns were introduced to the devices developed by Perfect-Air and Sensetio. Based on the students’ focus and knowledge, during the first part of the internship they focused on developing and optimizing firmware for new Perfect-Air measuring stations. This activity was newly chosen compared to the original project plan due to students’ study plans, knowledge, and completed subjects. From January, students participated in finishing tasks related to sensor evaluation for the new Perfect-Air station, testing individual sensors, implementing simple test firmwares, and subsequently measuring individual sensors’ consumption and parameters. In the next phase, they contributed to the design of a new Sensetio device, testing components mainly microcontrollers and operational amplifiers.
Contrary to the original plan where the internship was to focus on system and tool development, a change was made and students worked on developing new devices, testing, and mainly firmware implementation. The change was due to students’ focus, allowing better alignment of studies and internship, since activities performed at the company matched those in their courses, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge practically and use company work as course projects.
